Cell Division
I. What is a cell cycle ?A cell cycle is a sequence of events in a cell that lead to the division and duplication. Interphase is the first phase of the cell cycle then the phases G1 phase , S phase , G2 phase and the M phase come along. After the whole interphase part then come the mitosis phase which involves prophase , metaphase , anaphase and telophase.

II. What is mitosis ?Mitosis is when the cells duplicate the chromosomes in the cell nucleus in order to get 2 identical daughter nuclei . Followed by cytokinesis which divides the nuclei , cytoplasm , organelles and cell membrane into two daughter cells. Mitosis is technically cellular growth , repair and reproduction.

III. What is meiosis ?Meiosis on the other hand , splits into 4 daughter cells and they each have half the number of chromosomes as the parent cell. Meiosis produce haploid cells. Haploid cells are half of the chromosomes. So each chromosome has 23 cells and each parent gives 23 chromosomes and together it makes 46 chromosomes and that makes a human. Meiosis are technically gametes cells ( sex cells ) .
